On Saturday, Sept. 26th, at 7 p.m., the Museum of Ashe County History welcomes back to its stage the Whitetop Mountain Band! The Whitetop Mountain Band is a family-based band from the highest mountains of Virginia. The members have done much to preserve the Whitetop region’s long-running traditions and are legendary musicians and teachers of the style.

This performance is part of the museum's 2026 courthouse concert series and is FREE and open to the public. The show will take place in the museum's historic 1904 courtroom, located at 301 E. Main Street in Jefferson, NC.
